RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
There are churches that believe that, since you're Holy, you don't need to engage in spiritual warfare, your Holiness is enough. In fact, some churches don't pray. This is an erroneous teaching and imbalance diet to a soul. It makes many Believers weak and incapable of Spiritual things. Being RIGHTEOUS is the first legal ground you have to engage the enemy.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
You don't need to offend a witch before they attack you. The scriptures open our eyes and understanding to spiritual warfare and prepare us with tools to wage war. The day you accept Jesus, the devil didn't die or leave you alone. He pursues more after you. Any gospel that didn't tell you about spiritual warfare is a poison to your soul.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The disciples encountered many spiritual attacks, you and I won't be exempted. Jesus was tempted. That you're Righteous makes your prayer powerful and makes your life uncontrollable by the enemy. Righteousness makes you deal with the enemy and they will flee. When you don't pray, sin will soon overcome you. Righteousness and prayer go together. Righteousness makes your prayer acceptable.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Know this and Guard your life. Life is spiritual. You don't need to offend evil people before they attack. But, God is always ready to defend His children. Some people pray but Despise Holiness. That's another error. Both must go together. Do you understand now?

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
If you're a prayer person but you don't live holy. Your prayer isn't acceptable. Find your way back to God. If your pastor is teaching you what is far from the scriptures. My dear, do Bible study for one week. You and your Bible and pray. You'll have LIGHTS.
