SPIRITUAL JOURNALING (Part One)

An act of Spiritual Note Making and Notetaking.

Exodus 32:16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

INTRODUCTION

In college, we learned about note-making and note-taking. Note making is when you're trying to construct a sentence and make it into a whole note. While note-taking is, having something written down as you're being taught.

The same incident applies Spiritually. I guess the men who engineered note making and note taking learned it from the LORD because He's our Maker. Yes, He’s the first writer.

God speaks to us every day and every time, and being a good student of the Spirit, we must learn to write down His Instructions (words) either personal or words for others. Most times we depend on our brain, but the brain can't sustain itself all in the long run. To help your brain, you'll need to write something down. Your brain is working every second, it won't be able to capture everything at once. So, it is not a brain-it, but an act of WRITING.

If the men of Old didn't align themselves to God and write down His word to us, we'd be lost and short of His word and revelation. Imagine they say, "I'll keep it in my brain", how many people will have access to them? God knows how important information is, and when this information isn't passed Down to the next generation, it is likely that they'll serve something else.

Judges 2:8 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.

2:9 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.

2:10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

2:11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:

2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

2:13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

2:14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies roundabout, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

And also, the Pureness of an information is likely to depreciate after passing through different channels (men or material). Because as the word comes, some refine it (in a sentence or its pure form) and this brings about a loss in the essence of the message. So, to sustain the genuine intention of a statement it is best affirmed when written down. The Word of God remains unchanging, despite countless false teachers around the globe. You can count on God’s word.

Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
