RELEVANCE

 

A man went to Israel, and was Privileged to visit the tomb of King David. His tomb was different and decorated with elegance. So he concluded by saying "David was great, even in death, he was great".

Whatever God does has eternal reflection, that is why He's not in a rush, and His patterns are not in line with the system of the World. Jesus said of the woman with alabaster box, that she'll always be mentioned anywhere the Gospel is being preached. Is she relevant? She is. She doesn't dress naked to be Known. She doesn't have to be on social media to be Known. She became relevant because Jesus is her LORD.

God's Kind of relevance is different from the world's view. A man can gain relevance by becoming a BB Naija Housemate (that is worldly system) but God's weight is different. You may have all the likes and 'wows' and yet not recognized in God's sight. Apostle Paul is still relevant even in death. These men knew that, total submission to God and Obedience to Him is an advantage to their lives, and so they walk with Him by dying daily to self. 

Even the Lord Jesus Christ was given a name above all names. His Name commands attention from heaven, earth and earth below. You want to be relevant? Stay with God. Don't be carried away with few thumbs and forget that God's scoreboard is the final verdict. The world has a system of relevance, and the Kingdom of God has it's own, but of God, you must be found within His Purpose.

2 Chronicles  27:6  So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.

Remember, God first.

It doesn't matter what the world is saying.
