Seeking Counsel

Seeking Counsel

After seeking advice, the king made two golden calves. He said to the people, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” (1 Kings 12:28 NIV)

Everybody is a counselor. Everybody has something to say and to give either good or bad. Every man is sponsored by a Spirit.
That is why discernment and carefulness should aid us.
Some people became bad just because they took advices while some became better as a result of the same cause.

Jeroboam did evil before the Lord because of a counsel,
Ammon raped his younger sister because of a counsel and he lost his life to that effect.

Where do you get your counsels from?
Where you get your counsel is very important.
Who is giving you counsel to matters?

Many couples have separated because of one advice or the other, some marriages today are thriving on that same cause.
Always remember, not everyone posses the spirit of God.
People always give from what they have, it can be pure or carnal.
Because he is a professor doesn't mean he has the right words and perfect counsel to help you through life.

And Jonadab said unto him, lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
