Just as we've established in the previous parts that, having authority goes beyond just wishing, but firstly having the knowledge that it is part of our blessing in Christ. Secondly, we have to press in to grow in it.
There are things that are free, while some require your "hunger & thirst" to show your determination. Although, before the eyes of the King your motive will be screened, yet we are encourage to "come up higher" to things available to believers through redemption.
HOW TO GAIN STATURE FOR AUTHORITY
1. INTIMACY
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
An average believer is comfortable with Sunday services, pastors prayer, and some few routine activities. But mature sons, know what is in store and they press to get. Now, one of the way to gain authority is the Level of your intimacy. The level of your intimacy determines your extent of authority.
The Lord Jesus stay with the Father every day to keep Him updated. You don't have intimacy with Christ and you want to legislate? As we fellowship with Him, we become more like Him. Just as husband and wife becomes more alike as year passes because there's a level of "intimacy" so also, as we fellowship with the Lord we become "one".
The light from that encounter will reflect Jesus in our daily Christian life, through that encounter an impartation has occur that has shift you to another level with Him. You can't authorized on behalf of someone you don't grow close to.
The Apostles fellowship with the Lord everyday, and they grew in power, anointing and grace. When you cherish intimacy, anointing increase automatically, by this encounter your level of welding authority has increase.
And when we talk of intimacy, alignment is involved. You see why an average believer won't want to press on, because in seeking intimacy, the Will of Christ will influence your veins.
