1. Intimacy with the Lord, daily communion makes you one, through this intimate relationship you become more like Him, and walk in the realm He sitted.
2. Consecration.
The level of your consecration will determine the extent to which you can be used, and the amount of authority you'd acquire. You'll see why some believers are different because of the level of their consecration. When some believers joke with sin, and you didn't, you are build a pyramid of honor for yourself.
3. Level of yieldedness
The level of yielding to the Holy Spirit will stimulate your change of level in growth. While some are still a "John 3vs16" believer since 7 years ago, some have grown in "Sonship" relationship with the Father.
When God told you to pray, you did. When He told you to fast, you did. When He told you to give, you did. They are training for yielding.
