Overcoming Pornography

........i didn't want to, but I was lured! 

So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor, (AMP) 

NIV:And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2Cor6vs17-18

The only remedy for sin, is the sacrifice on the cross. The only power that can disarm sin, is the power in the blood of Jesus. The terrible thing that can befall a natural man is not to find help when he's in trouble. The carnal man is dangerous, and always under the control of the devil. Here I'll like to point out to us:

1. The Danger of Porn

2. God's Remedy for your freedom. 

We live in a world where sexual perversion is accepted, but God's view won't change regardless of the civilisation. The best for us to do to avoid God's wrath, is to live according to His dictates, embedded in His Word.

"It wasn't intentional, but I was caught up in it." 

Some years ago, I decided to go out for "play" likewise I decided to some visitations. It was a year, I haven't met the Lord. I met some people in the living room, as we are "relatives " so no cause for alarm. A brother who was the senior at that moment was watching something on his phone, my friends were watching with him.  What could this be? I decided to join. I can't believe what I'm seeing. It was a view that changed my mind. I lived with a pastor, according to some moral standards I'm not expected to be caught in those things. 

My eyes went glue, I couldn't turn it off. I don't know the mind had captured the scene. In a little while, the thoughts came back in full force. I began to watch it at different times. Things were going down, and terrible. Sooner, masturbation steps in. I can't helped it. I tried to stop it but it won't. It isn't what I wanted to do. I can't stop it. It has set my emotions on fire. Who will help me now? 

Sincerely, I desire to be free then. 

But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. NIV Rom 7vs8

For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct condemns]. AMP Rom 7vs15

Porn is a demonic soul tie. It is a tool of destruction. It cut short a man's destiny. It condemn and send one to hell. It comes with all manner of evil system that has the power to destroy a man. It is sad, that some Christians watched it to arouse their passion for sex, which is wrong. It is against God order of creation. God's plan and purpose are pure and direct. 

Every of His instructions contains life for us to enjoy!

For some years, I struggle with masturbation. Because one of the seed of pornography is that it gives birth to masturbation. It was an terrible action of disorder. Until I met the Lord. 

If you are in this shoe, be happy and be open minded Cos God will deliver you If you are willing. When I met Christ, the power of sin was destroyed. The desire for porn and masturbation dies. Although temptation keep resurfacing yet, His power of deliverance is undeniable. That's how I gain my freedom! 

HOW CAN I BE DELIVERED?

1. BE WILLING 

Be willing to come out of the web. Until you see the reason or understand why you need to leave a corrupt system , you won't know the havoc, it will create in your life. 

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isa 1vs17

God is much Willing to help you only If you are willing. He won't force your choice. Get your mind made up to come and call on Him For help. 

2. BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS 

It is crucial to let you know that every provisions of God for humanity is made available in Christ and supplied by the Holy Spirit. 

John 3vs16

NIV:For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

AMP:For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

There's one point and the only way out, is Give Your Life to Jesus. 

My life had experienced a tremendous change since I handed it over to Him. The cord of sin was destroyed. There's no pleasure in sin, God wants you to be free from it. Beloved, Jesus Will help you, if you let Him have your heart.

3. GET SEPARATED 

Your freedom won't be complete if you still keep the circle of the same pattern that brought you into bondage. Break the circle of friends that brings you to sin. Delete the immoral videos from your phone. Destroy or cast every materials that has the capacity to resurrect the memories. 

4. STAY GLUED ON THE WORD

You've got to keep your mind afresh with the Word of God.

There's a tendency for the thoughts to linger but stay on God's word. Keep reading and speaking the Word, it gives you and established your victory on it. 

Remember :

God loves you. The only gap between you and God can be your choice. You must come to Him. Is your heart willing? 

Then pray this prayer:

Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I acknowledge my sins, and that I can't help myself. I believe in the provision of redemption that is made available in your Son. Wash me with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Create a new heart in me O Lord. Empower me to serve and follow you all the days of my life. Thank you for your Love Lord, in Jesus name. Amen. 

Within seconds, you are welcome to God's family.
