After Salvation, What Next?

1 Peter  2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

From the day you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are enrolled in the school of training, more less like a kindergarten class. It is a very essential beginning, to actually monitor your comprehension of Spiritual things. It doesn't download in a day, you grow in it day by day, by precept upon precept.

No parent would give birth to a child, and watch the baby remain that way and not growing. Just as new born baby, we are encouraged to grow up. Only mature folks can be entrusted with the kingdom allocations. If your son is not well brought up and maturely trained, how will he handle the inheritance you want to entrust Him? Fruitfulness is attached to growth. The more you grow the more, you explore territories for the Lord.

GROWTH

Most believers aren't growing, probably because of the way they are been fed. The system of God is so structured that your requirements to grow in available in the body of Christ. Most times, we lay claim to our denomination whereas we should see ourselves as one body of Faith in Christ. It is annoying, when people who are supposed to be teachers, Bringing up others in faith, are also ignorant and shallow in understanding. It is time to grow up! A man that doesn't grow will remain at the low, when his mate are on the hill. The problem is that, God cannot entrust us with some Kingdom assignment because we aren't growing to take charge of the course. You can't expect fruits from a tree, that hasn't grow up to bearing fruit. It's test of growth. Our growth will be determined, by our understanding of the Word, how we relate with life, how we handle the dimensions of God.

THE WORD OF GOD

The only design tool to take care of our spiritual growth is the word of God. The word of God, ensures growth in all areas of our lives. It is the only food that can fertilize the Spirit man. Just as natural food are meant for proper growth, we can't just do without the word of God. How much of the word do you know?  How often do you read it?  Do you learn from it or just take it as a Normal novel? Until we understand that no other way can our understanding of God be sorted except by spending time with His word. Although, I haven't seen face to face President  Donald Trump of the United States of America, but by reading his books and magazines, I'll be more familiar with Him than someone else who doesn't have a little details of him.

It is good that we grow, and not just grow but grow rightly. Some food brings unbalanced diet and cause improper growth. The word of God must change us to the intention of God. Some people's growth were contrary to the set rules and standard of the Word as their conduct were negative to the Word of God.  Hence, they go out there and do anyhow. That is why,  a good shepherd knows what is right for the Sheep.

GROW IN SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING

If your son keeps repeating a class, just to make him understand what he's to be thought in that class, and still don't get it. What will you do? Of course, you'd get fed up. But truthfully, it isn't your desire to neglect him. God wants us to grow up!  Not until we grow as son, then can we really do much for the kingdom.

1 Corinthians  2:12

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

There must be a difference in your life 3years ago when you accepted Christ and now. Receiving Christ is not the end, it's a beginning of great Journey with God. Most Christians are stale and not new, that are carried along in God's dealing with their lives, church and the body of Christ. Apostle Paul said, Be Mature! Don't be babies in Spiritual things.

Hebrews  5:12  For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

The world isn't waiting for the babies but for the sons of God.

Receive Grace to GROW in Jesus Name. Amen.
