Job 34:3 For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
Job 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
For God to speak, isn't the problem but our ability to pick what He's trying to pass across to us. One thing that can bring an unbalanced hearing is the ear, either physically or spiritually.
The ear is for receiving, when it is blocked, it is good for nothing. What is more important in hearing from God is the EAR. Of course, you can't communicate freely with someone whose ear is faulty, unless He's treated and healed. The ear coordinates the receiving and the setting of a particular message.
Spiritual Meaning Of EAR.
Just as we have physical ear for hearing, we have spiritual ear to for hearing From God. When it is dirty, or unclean it might cause hearing impair. So also when the spiritual ear is dirty, it can receive from God.
Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
Now, the Ear is the spirit man. Your spirit man. Having understanding that a man is primarily a spirit, who has a soul, living a mortal body. Our spirit is the antenna to receiving from God. God is a Spirit, therefore and atmosphere of Spiritual living must be activated to hear from God. When God speaks, He speaks to our spirit man, then transfer into our subconscious.
In physical explanation, before you receive a message, it has to pass through the ear drum, cochlea and the rest to bring a fine tune message. When the spirit is insensitive of God's voice there's a danger. As Christian, we must ensure to keep our spirit man charge and always in contact with the Holy Spirit. When the spirit man is dead, if evil is coming upon a man he won't know. Physical ear can't do that. Your spirit man receive the message, before transferring to your physical ears. There are two type of condition that can happen to spirit man, it is either dead or alive. To be alive is better. A sinner is dead and lost without Christ. When you give your life to Christ, your spirit man is renewed. You are now born again. Your spirit man is now sensitive to receive from God. To see and understand spiritual things, you be spiritual.
Now it depends on how you hear, the ability to interpret message will determine if the feedback will be positive or not. That's why the Lord told us : Be careful how you hear. When the spirit man is healthy, the sensitivity will be so sharp, and you can understand, as you grow and fellowship with the Holy Spirit! But when the spirit man is not fed its food, it gets lean, weak and disturbed. An unbeliever is dead and alienated from God because of the sin of Adam. He / she can't receive from God. Unless he or she must "reconcile back to God". Accept JESUS into your life and become a new creation.
" when you are born again, you are birthed In blood of Jesus, clothed with the righteousness of God: the Holy Spirit now reside in your spirit man- the connection between you and God, making sure there's no disconnection as He warn you of sinning and helping you remain pure"
HOW TO HEAR FROM GOD.
1. Clean your EAR.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Having understand that your spiritual EAR is your spirit man. If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you need to do now. It is too dangerous friend to journey this world without Jesus. Your greatness and manifestation is rooted in your hearing God. Friend, Jesus loves you, if want to give your life to Christ, say this prayer with me:
Father in Jesus Name, I thank you for the provision you made for the forgiveness of my sin, through the death and the resurrection. I know that I'm a sinner, wash me with the precious blood of Jesus. From today, I'll live for you. Thank you Father, in Jesus Name I pray Amen.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Welcome to God's family, if you pray that prayer. Heaven rejoice over you!
2. Keep your EAR clean.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Yes, here we need to keep our mind fresh to receive daily hearing. Keeping fellowship with the Holy Spirit is essential to keep our heart glue to the Father's heart. As a Christian, studying the word, praising and worshipping God will draw His presence close to us.
His grace is sufficient for us.
