"And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

The Tree of knowledge of good and evil is an encyclopedia of a civilization that is apart from God's. Adam and even, though matured physically but still a baby in spiritual things. God will still have them to understand the reason why they shouldn't eat of the fruits later on. But they disobeyed and that civilization that God is protecting them from, later invade their soul.

For example,

God made sex for marriage ultimately. When He said, "don't fornicate or commit adultery", He knows why. Instead of being curious as to the "why", just obey. And you'll later on understood. Adam and eve disobeyed and they reap the consequences that befell humanity. A typical expression of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is anything that is "good" but not God's. God loves you, that's why He's keeping you.

The world system has a kind of "knowledge", and a child of God shouldn't be walking in their ways. Every instructions of God is to protect us and give a desire end. The world system doesn't recognise our God, so, stop trying to please the world. That's why there's persecution and every attempt to stop people from calling the Name "Jesus". We're at war, and a child of God must understood this warfare dimension.

"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness."

1 Corinthians 3:19 KJV

If you tell a child, don't put your hand in that fire. He or she will ask why. And if he or she goes ahead and got burnt, the reason why it shouldn't be tried in the first place will be known. Today's world love to do everything "nice" but let's not bring the bible to it. Whereas, the bible is God's whole counsel for now till eternity to come. We cannot close the bible. It must remain open for instructing and doing it.

The world is promoting their own "knowledge" and we must counter it by promoting God's kind of knowledge. God is love and one of the works of the devil is to paint God in a bad light.

See ehn, God loves you. One of the devil's works is to paint God in a bad light. The devil make you see everything has God's punishment on you, whereas they are rules of preservation. The devil will tell you to "add something because you need to be on top" not knowing that the devil doesn't have a free gift. Dear you, God loves you. Honestly.

The Tree of knowledge of good and evil represents the world's wisdom and mode of operation. A child of God lives by God's wisdom because Jesus is the wisdom of God. Thus, we are wired with discernment to know what is from God and not. Irrespective of how "good" they look.

"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."

1 Corinthians 2:12 KJV 

No man ever ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that doesn't die. It may not be a physical death but it kills something worthwhile.

The bottom line is, God loves you. Don't harden your heart again Him. His words and plans are for you. God kicked against homosexuality and all its kinds. He never made that in the beginning. (He made only man and woman). Those movements was formed by a syllabus from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It was a tree that has its own "good" with every much evil. The "good" was just a bait.

Only God is good!
