Scripturally, fire is used interchangeably with power or baptism of the Holy Ghost, but it still works in one circumvent, fulfilling the will of God. Fire does three things, and they are very crucial....
1. IT CONSUMES AND BURN
Psalms 97:3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
Fire is a tool used in battle. I have watched much Hollywood movies, so I'm used to seeing fire as took of fight the counter part. They use it in war. Therefore fire is a potent weapon. No wonder Elijah called down 🔥 fire, to consume the army sent against him. He called down fire to disgrace the false prophets. Fire is God's tool in fighting against His enemies.
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
It is part of the essence of His Sovereignty. Every other fire bows, when the one from Heaven is speaking.
2. IT CLEANSES AND PURIFY
For the purpose of purification
Isaiah 6:6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
6:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Naturally, fire is used to remove impurities from a raw materials before bringing out the gold. It is also a tool by God in performing the work of sanctification. Fire remove drosses. It removes lukewarmness. It purify your vision eyes. Every confusion will be refocus perfectly. It doesn't condone dullness. Always ready to work. If you have seen how houses burns, you will see the eagerness of fire to keep spreading and get attached to other building. It is ready to move. Unstoppable by anything. Go back and check a land ravage by fire, you will see how clean it is without a tractor or bulldozer.
For cleansing
1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
Fire cleanse. Every Stony heart of disobedience is melt. Every water of sin dries up. This type of fire is not respecter of water. It consume water. The fire of God. It cleanses the altar. God's fire must burn continually on our altar, when the fire is getting weak, then things isn't working right.
3. IT EMPOWERS
Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
The Holy Ghost is the bringer of the fire. Here fire is synonymous to power. When you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you will definitely receive power. It enbles you to do Greater works.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
God kind of 🔥 fire, makes you hot for demons. They scream. They wait for terror of the fire. It is a kind of fire that is being configured to prompting to doing good. As much as it consumes the enemies, it also empowers to do good. Fire represent the presence of God.
HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE THE FIRE?
When you are burnt with fire, you will feel it and the pain, and if it burns very well people will see the mark on your body. You will know you are burnt by fire. When you position yourself to receive you'll have. This kind of fire don't get afraid of witches. It consumes totally! This kind of fire gives you authority and a voice on Earth. It makes you exceptional. It empowers your vision. A church that lacks fire, won't be a taboo to demons. Fire speaks and connotes the Presence of God.
There are two types of fire.
1. The one than can be stiffled by water.
2. The one that lick up water.
What caught my attention was that, the fire lick up waters. God's kind of fire lick up water, it cannot be Quench by any elements. When you are asking for fire, ask for God-kind fire that consumes everything, including waters. Fire Kindles by God, consumes everything because it is supernatural. It comes from above. Fire Kindled by men can be Quenched by the water of the world. This kind of fire, stays alive. The fire of the Holy Ghost. It is real as the air we breath. It is not responsive to world structure or news, it operates on the dictates and command of heaven. Is kind of fire is not gotten by mixing with the world. It is given when you've separated yourself to God. The first thing, is salvation. You have to be born again.
If you desire God's fire and you are not Saved, the fire is too pure to dwell in a dirt place. Before prophet Isaiah can receive it, it has be purge him. Why don't you come to Jesus for Cleansing by His blood. Invite Him to your Heart.
HOW DO I REGAIN OR REACTIVATE THE FIRE?
If fire is stiffled out, you can light it again by following the process...
1. Clear the altar.
Remove every dirt, every woods, every elements that can stand against the effective functioning of fire. Clean the altar. Purge your heart, ask God for mercy.
2. Rearrange the woods.
Come back to fellowship. Get hold on the Word, and study. Reactivate those exercises you use to do that sustain the fire.
3. Light the matches.
Our God is a merciful God.
Ask for the Fire again, keep asking and it will come.
HOW DO I SUSTAIN THE FIRE?
1. Recruit More woods.
When one wood is getting out burn, replace with another one. Meaning, keep on eating the word. Keep studying. It keep your eyes to the Rays of the fire. Because that's the Owners book.
2. Stay close to the Altar.
Watch and pray. Stay close to the altar, watch what's happening. It entails being honest with yourself. Keep a close eye on it. If there's any issue call on the Master to help us set it right.
3. Watch the foxes.
There are foxes who delight to come and use your altar as a resting place. What an insult! What about other altars. Stay alert and fight with the sword of the Spirit.
4. Beware of waters.
(a) Water of men in form of discouragement, strange doctrine and apostasy. It is very terrible to let it off to this things.
(b) Sin. So far, we said this fire can't be stiffled by water, yet there are things a man can do to make his own fire weak. Sin weak it's power.
Final note:
Dear Christian, you can't do without the fire. You want to rule your world, you want to tread upon the covens of darkness, you will a bright and powerful fire, not kindled by man but God. To sustain and run this race, you need the fire of God. Don't be like an ordinary child of God, your Father has enough, go for the Fire. Fire makes you known in hell. It's endorse you as true ambassador of God on Earth. Fire makes you distinct in your Generation. Your world is waiting for your light, that fire that wi liberate their world. Thirst for the power and fire of God and you will receive. (Firstly be born again, Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior).
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
