A Muse On "Fame"

(Part One)

Joshua  6:27  So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.

Sometimes, we're stuck in the midst of whether we should allow the perfume of fame to decorate us or we should keep it in the shelf, but let's have a light from the scriptures.

A man can seek for fame from dark powers to rule the moments of time which is an endanger to his soul. So also by the perfume of righteousness God also exalt the "humble". Aside from the fact that, consistency with talent can bring you to limelight of relevance, but what does being famous mean?

Our concept of fame has been corrupted, and we criticize men whom God has truly lifted for His Name. The Fame of Jesus went everywhere, a daily news headlines of the cities He entered but what was the secret? Joshua became famous because God was involved.

He submitted to the authority of His Father. By this acts of submission, God therefore exalted Him. He seeks to do the WILL of the Father, not Himself and the Father was pleased. Now, if you're so concerned about Jesus being "Glorified" through you, His glory will be transmitted through you as a vessel to the world and you become "famous" for Jesus not yourself. 

The scriptures is filled with men of "fame" whose rising was not of flesh gravitation but they submitted to God's dealing and seek to do His will, therefore God put His Stamp on them. Truly, God exalt a man...
