1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
i understand you slept yesterday, thinking of how to pay your children school fee. i understand you were drown in thought of anxiety because you couldn't cater for your family. i understand you almost commit suicide due to frustrations. I understand why you shouted on your wife this morning, because you couldn't meet the homes demand.
Do you know God kept you alive for a reason？The air we breath, the water we drink, God doesn't charge us for them. because you are alive you should thank Him. your situation isn't worse, like MR A, nor is God incapable of turning your situation around.
Do you know we all have issues in our pocket.？yeah. especially in a country where you had to cry out before the government will pay your dues. with all these, you've got to be bitter, but it's not gonna solve the problem. Shouting on your kids won't bring meat to the soup. Anger and bitterness, won't revive a better life, nor will it bring you the good you desire.
But God is telling you today, to give Him thanks. It is hard i know, but you've to praise Him. As christians, we pass through fire and waters, but the joy is, we won't be burnt.
At the tomb of lazarus, Jesus gave thanks, because not every situation requires a force reaction. but because He knows that no "situation is impossible with God". where many are weeping, He gave thanks, what a victorious attitude. Giving thanks to God in the midst of challenges, prompt Him to do the unusual. Paul and silas, don't know what next for them, but they know God will rescue them. Beloved, i want to tell you that, God has seen your pains, tears, crying and affliction, He will rescue you today.
Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
But do you know that there's victory in giving thanks？jehosaphat experience all round victory by just praising God.
Do you know that thanking God is the same way as telling God your problems？
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Yeah, God way of doing things is always foolish to the natural man. someone might say, how will i give thanks, when i lost a baby？
or a job, a loved one, or when i find it difficult to eat？
For the Lord said,
I will not leave you,nor forsake you.
God wants to test our faith and to displaying His great power by admonishing us give thanks in every thing. it may be hard to do, but if you do today, you will experience miracles, breakthrough and abundance beyond measure.
Anger cannot heal a broken heart, Jesus does. if you will let the Lord today, He will change your situation for better.
Today, give God thanks, even over that issues, you may not know why, just do it.
