THE LATTER RAIN
Hosea 6:3 then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
The LORD has come to us, In the Person of The HOLY SPIRIT. Jesus said, Tarry ye in Jerusalem for the promise of My Father". which God promised in Joel 2vs28?
The HOLY SPIRIT
The Spirit is The representative of Jesus. The custodian of heaven's Secret. The Only One who knows the Mind of God. He is God. God exist in three different Persons, Yet One. (Its a mystery to Deep to understand, don't try to think it with human mind). God the Holy Spirit is Here with us- The church of JESUS Christ. I may not be able mention all the works of The HOLY Spirit, but you can tell from your personal encounter! Nobody has seen The Holy Spirit before, He exist - and He is a person Just like The FATHER and the Son. God is a Spirit! Moses Try to see God, but No!
Anybody, who has seen God, is dead already. He can't come back to this world.
There are several ways The Holy Spirit manifest Himself!
1. Dove.
2. Fire.
3. River.
4. Oil.
5. Rain
The HOLY Spirit has The Latter RAIN.
By spiritual understand and Interpretation, we are in The Dispensation of The Holy Spirit!
- The final Mercy!. We have the dispensation of The Father and The Son. But, now we live in the Dispensation of Grace, Covenanted by JESUS blood and ushered in By The coming of The HOLY Spirit. Grace is not a license to sin, but the power to live, above it.
The Rapture is what will End the Dispensation of The Holy SPIRIT, looking forward to New Heaven and a new earth!
James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, onto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husband man waited for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
We all know that rain is essential to human existence, even birds and plants.
Rain doesn't just fall, except for reason and Season.
THE NEED FOR THE RAIN
1) It terminates drought.
Drought is a dry moment, when all environments seem dry and weak, because there's no water.
What is that thing your life (and mine), that represent drought/dryness, The LORD will wet our lives with overflowing Joy! Rain terminates drought, and Dryness is over.
2) It quickens the seed in the soil.
You need The HOLY SPIRIT to fulfill destiny! He's the only one who can help you achieve purpose!
He's our Helper! There's a potential in you that need to be activated. When the rain of The Spirit falls on you, your root will be quickened and seeds will begin to sprout!
3) It sustained The growth of the crop.
When crop began to grow, Rain is needed to keep it growing else it stunt and dies. You need the Holy Spirit is your walk with God. He's The One who sustained us, and keep us from falling!
Thank you Holy Spirit! Without The Holy SPIRIT our Walk with GOD, will not be balance and perfect!
4). Revival and salvation of Souls.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
After, The Holy SPIRIT came on the day of Pentecost, we read account that thousands were saved.
But now, souls are barely saved. We need the Rain, To renew and revive us.
5) It ordains a new atmosphere.
When rain falls, you will feel the change in the atmosphere. When The Rain falls on you, your life will experience a Victorious turn around. God said, "I will do a New Thing".
6). Quickening.
when there's spiritual power failure, or fire seems to be down, or when the Word is not hitting the bone, or when the church is getting dry...It is an indication that we need The Rain.
Deuteronomy 11:14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
7) Restoration
When you see a plant crop burnt by fire it looks hopeless, but when rain begin to fall.....It is Quicken and look New.
8) Joy.
The Bible say, where The Spirit of The LORD is, there's Fullness of Joy.
I believe God will give someone joy tonight over that sorrow in JESUS Name.
How do we get the RAIN?
1. We humble ourselves, by seeking God. For mercy over sin and disobedience.
2. We ask for it.
Zechariah 10vs1
3. We wait for It.
Job 29vs23
4. We open our heart to receive it.
I know many of us are thirsty for The Rain. God will fill us tonight. God will touch someone here, whose live will experience a positive turn around in JESUS Name.
